Peace Day

Day of Peace

On January 29, 2016 we celebrated the Day of Non-violence and Peace, when the death of Mahatma Gandhi is also commemorated. On this day, lots of activities were organised dedicated to think over and to promote values such as tolerance, solidarity, harmony and respect for human rights; non-violence and peace.

«God did not create borders. My goal is friendship with the world” Mahatma Gandhi

This celebration is therefore, a further opportunity to help the school become an instrument of peace and understanding between people of different backgrounds, race, culture and religion. We have to contribute, through education, to building a better world that allows all individuals to have an equal opportunity to carry out their full potential within a democratic, free, fair, responsible and peaceful society.

We’ve learned to fly the air like birds, we’ve learned to swim the seas like fish, and yet we haven’t learned to walk the Earth as brothers and sisters…” Martin Luther King

Here, we want to show a beautiful collaborative project, in which students have used the different languages studied and spoken in our school to carry out this lovely initiative.
