In the next few posts I will try to share with you some of the snapshots that I took yesterday of the Timeline that is along the High School corridors. The camera of my mobile is not quite good and I am not quite a good photographer but I have tried to do it my best.

En los próximos posts yo intentaré compartir con vosotros algunas fotos que tomé ayer del eje cronológico que está a lo largo de los pasillos de nuestro Instituto. La cámara de mi móvil no es muy buena y yo tampoco soy un fotógrafo muy bueno pero he intentado hacerlo lo mejor que sé. ¡Gracias a todos mis maravillosos compañeros y a nuestros alumnos que han hecho un trabajo muy bueno! ¡Enhorabuena!
Pre-Socratic philosophy, also known as early Greek philosophy, is ancient Greek philosophy before Socrates. Pre-Socratic philosophers were mostly interested in cosmology, the beginning and the substance of the universe, but the inquiries of these early philosophers spanned the workings of the natural world as well as human society, ethics, and religion. They sought explanations based on natural law rather than the actions of gods. Their work and writing has been almost entirely lost. Knowledge of their views comes from testimonia, i.e. later authors’ discussions of the work of pre-Socratics. Philosophy found fertile ground in the ancient Greek world because of the close ties with neighboring civilizations and the rise of autonomous civil entities, poleis.

La filosofía presocrática, también conocida como filosofía griega temprana es una filosofía griega antigua anterior a Sócrates. Los filósofos presocráticos estaban interesados principalmente en la cosmología, en el comienzo y en la sustancia del universo. Pero las preguntas de estos filósofos tempranos abarcaron también el funcionamiento del mundo natural así como de la sociedad humana, de la ética y de la religión. Ellos buscaron explicaciones que se basaban en la Ley Natural más que en las acciones de los dioses. Sus trabajos y sus escritos se han perdido casi por completo. El conocimiento de sus puntos de vista viene de testimonios, es decir de comentarios de autores del trabajo de los Pre-Socráticos. La Filosofía encontró una tierra fértil en el Mundo Griego Antiguo debido a los lazos estrechos con las civilizaciones vecinas y al auge de entidades civiles autónomas, «poleis».
