The School Year has already finished and I would like to share with you some something that Mr. Lacárcel, our Music Teacher, has composed. He has put music to a poem by Sara Teasdale.

El año escolar ya ha terminado y me gustaría compartir con vosotros algo que el Sr. Lacárcel, nuestro profesor de música, ha compuesto. Él le ha puesto música a un poema de Sara Teasdale.
«There Will Come Soft Rains» is a lyric poem by Sara Teasdale published just after the start of the 1918 German Spring Offensive during World War I, and during the 1918 Flu Pandemic about nature’s establishment of a new peaceful order that will be indifferent to the outcome of the war or mankind’s extinction. The work was first published in the July 1918 issue of Harper’s Monthly Magazine,[1] and later revised and provided with the subtitle «War Time» in her 1920 collection Flame and Shadow[2] (see 1920 in poetry). The «War Time» subtitle refers to several of her own poems that contain «War Time» in their titles published during World War I, in particular to «Spring In War Time» that was published in her 1915 anthology Rivers to the Sea (see 1915 in poetry). The two poems (…) appeared together in two World War I poetry anthologies, A Treasury of War Poetry: British and American Poems of the World War, 1914–1917 published in 1917,[3] and Poems of the War and the Peace published in 1921.[4]
«Vendrán días de suaves lluvias» es un poema lírico de Sara Teasdale publicado justo antes del comienzo de la Ofensiva Alemana de la primavera de 1918, durante la Primera Guerra Mundial y durante la Epidemia de Gripe del 1918. Trata sobre cómo la Naturaleza establecerá un nuevo orden pacífico que será indiferente al resultado de la guerra o a la extinción de la humanidad. El poema se publicó por primera vez en Julio de 1918 en la revista mensual «Harper’s» y más tarde fue revisado y se le dio el subtítulo de «Tiempos de Guerra» en la colección de 1920 «Llama y sombra» (véase en poesía de 1920). El subtítulo de «Tiempos de Guerra» se refiere a varios de sus propios poemas que contienen la expresión «Tiempos de Guerra» en sus títulos y que se publicaron durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, en especial uno llamado «Primavera en tiempos de guerra» que se publicó en su Antología de 1915 cuyo título fue «Ríos hacia el mar» (véase 1915 en la poesía). There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;
And frogs in the pools, singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white,
Robins will wear their feathery fire,
