He has put music to a poem by Sara Teasdale. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Estimados amigos:<\/p>\n<p>El a\u00f1o escolar ya ha terminado y me gustar\u00eda compartir con vosotros algo que el Sr. Lac\u00e1rcel, nuestro profesor de m\u00fasica, ha compuesto. \u00c9l le ha puesto m\u00fasica a un poema de Sara Teasdale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00abThere Will Come Soft Rains\u00bb is a <a title=\"Lyric poetry\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lyric_poetry\">lyric poem<\/a> by <a title=\"Sara Teasdale\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sara_Teasdale\">Sara Teasdale<\/a> published just after the start of the <a title=\"German spring offensive\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/German_spring_offensive\">1918 German Spring Offensive<\/a> during <a title=\"World War I\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/World_War_I\">World War I<\/a>, and during the <a title=\"Spanish flu\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Spanish_flu\">1918 Flu Pandemic<\/a> about <a title=\"Nature\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nature\">nature&#8217;s<\/a> establishment of a new <a title=\"Peace\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Peace\">peaceful<\/a> order that will be indifferent to the outcome of the war or mankind&#8217;s extinction. The work was first published in the July 1918 issue of <i><a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Harper%27s_Magazine\">Harper&#8217;s Monthly Magazine<\/a><\/i>,<sup id=\"cite_ref-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/There_Will_Come_Soft_Rains#cite_note-1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup> and later revised and provided with the subtitle \u00abWar Time\u00bb in her 1920 collection <i>Flame and Shadow<\/i><sup id=\"cite_ref-2\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/There_Will_Come_Soft_Rains#cite_note-2\">[2]<\/a><\/sup> (see <a title=\"1920 in poetry\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1920_in_poetry\">1920 in poetry<\/a>). The \u00abWar Time\u00bb subtitle refers to several of her own poems that contain \u00abWar Time\u00bb in their titles published during World War I, in particular to \u00abSpring In War Time\u00bb that was published in her 1915 anthology <i>Rivers to the Sea<\/i> (see <a title=\"1915 in poetry\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1915_in_poetry\">1915 in poetry<\/a>). The two poems (&#8230;) appeared together in two World War I poetry anthologies, <i>A Treasury of War Poetry: British and American Poems of the World War, 1914\u20131917<\/i> published in 1917,<sup id=\"cite_ref-3\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/There_Will_Come_Soft_Rains#cite_note-3\">[3]<\/a><\/sup> and <i>Poems of the War and the Peace<\/i> published in 1921.<sup id=\"cite_ref-4\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/There_Will_Come_Soft_Rains#cite_note-4\">[4]<\/a><\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00abVendr\u00e1n d\u00edas de suaves lluvias\u00bb es un poema l\u00edrico de Sara Teasdale publicado justo antes del comienzo de la Ofensiva Alemana de la primavera de 1918, durante la Primera Guerra Mundial y durante la Epidemia de Gripe del 1918. Trata sobre c\u00f3mo la Naturaleza establecer\u00e1 un nuevo orden pac\u00edfico que ser\u00e1 indiferente al resultado de la guerra o a la extinci\u00f3n de la humanidad.
