One of her latest presentations was about\u00a0 the term \u00abgastrodiplomacy2.\u00a0 But what does\u00a0 it mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Queridos amigos:<\/p>\n<p>Como ya he he mencionado, el profesorado biling\u00fce del IES Huelin ha tenido la oportunidad de hablar con nuestra muy responsable Auxiliar de Conversaci\u00f3n de Lengua Inglesa, Olivia Lewis. Una de sus \u00faltimas presentaciones fue sobre el t\u00e9rmino \u00abdiplomacia gastron\u00f3mica\u00bb. Pero \u00bfqu\u00e9 significa este t\u00e9rmino?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gastrodiplomacy.net\/gd-explanation\"><strong>http:\/\/www.gastrodiplomacy.net\/gd-explanation<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The term \u201cgastrodiplomacy\u201d refers to concerted and sustained campaigns of public relations and investment by governments and states, often in collaboration with non-state actors, to increase the value and standing of their nation brand through food. Food is used to pursue diplomatic aims in government-to-public diplomacy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El t\u00e9rmino \u00abdiplomacia gastron\u00f3mica\u00bb se refiere a campa\u00f1as organizadas y sostenidas en el tiempo de relaciones p\u00fablicas y de inversiones por parte de los Gobiernos y los Estados, a menudo en colaboraci\u00f3n con entidades no estatales para incrementar el valor y el prestigio de la marca de la Naci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de la comida. It can be considered a \u201ctender-minded\u201d type of public diplomacy, in that it does not exert influence by advocating directly, but rather more obliquely by striking emotional connections (Rockower, 2012).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La diplomacia gastron\u00f3mica se construye sobre la base de la comida como una dimensi\u00f3n com\u00fan de las vidas y las culturas de todas las personas.
