Veamos qu\u00e9 ha escrito.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adn ads\" data-message-id=\"#msg-f:1698283188427467185\" data-legacy-message-id=\"1791838fde3ca9b1\">\n<div class=\"gs\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<div id=\":mw\" class=\"ii gt\">\n<div id=\":mv\" class=\"a3s aiL \">\n<blockquote>\n<div>\n<div id=\"m_1120472215104409483yiv8977735544\">\n<div>\n<div id=\"m_1120472215104409483yiv8977735544yqt84136\">\n<blockquote>\n<div>\n<div id=\"m_1120472215104409483yiv8977735544\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p><strong>Last Thursday I began working with the fourth of ESO in Pacos class. On our first day of class working together we had an interesting lesson about different aspects of health. We discussed our personal relationship to health, Spanish healthcare system, United States health care system and watched a video related to healthcare and wellness apps.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El jueves pasado empec\u00e9 a trabajar con el cuarto de ESO en la clase de Paco. En nuestra primer d\u00eda de clase trabajando juntos tuvimos una clase muy interesante sobre diferentes aspectos de la salud. Hemos tratado de nuestra relaci\u00f3n personal con la salud, del Sistema Sanitario en Espa\u00f1a y en los Estados Unidos y hemos visto un v\u00eddeo relacionado con el cuidado de la salud y algunas apps de bienestar f\u00edsico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We began the class by asking the students to rank aspects in health from most important to least important &#8211; Nutrition, Sports activities, Sleep, Mental health, Social interactions, Mental health, Regular check ups. We had noticed a common pattern in the students selection. Each student had selected nutrition and sports activities as the most important aspects of health. We also agreed that our overall health and happiness could increase from just a couple more hours of sleep. This activity was followed by a vocabulary exercise to help prepare them for the video related to healthcare and wellness apps. We learned vocabulary such as, track, preventative, logging, treat, nudge and incentives.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Empezamos la clase pidi\u00e9ndole a los alumnos que pusiesen en orden de importancia los aspectos de m\u00e1s a menos importantes &#8211; nutrici\u00f3n, actividades deportivas, sue\u00f1o, salud mental, chequeos m\u00e9dicos habituales. Nos dimos cuenta de que hab\u00eda un patr\u00f3n com\u00fan en el orden que pon\u00edan nuestros alumnos. Cada alumno seleccion\u00f3 la nutrici\u00f3n y las actividades deportivas como los aspectos m\u00e1s importantes de la salud. Tambi\u00e9n estuvimos de acuerdo en que nuestra salud y bienestar en su conjunto podr\u00edan incrementarse si s\u00f3lo durmi\u00e9semos al menos dos horas m\u00e1s. Continuamos esta actividad con un ejercicio de vocabulario para ayudarles a prepararse para las apps relacionadas con el cuidado de la salud y el bienestar. Aprendimos vocabulario tales como pista, preventivo, registrarse, capricho, presionar para hacer algo, incentivos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We watched the video titled, Can a Wellness App Really Change Someone\u2019s Life? &#8211; Created with Virgin Pulse. After watching I asked them the purpose of the video &#8211; education, promotional or informative. We agreed that the video was promotional. This is because an American company has urged their workers to use the health care app to reduce the amount of money spent by the company on insurance for its employees. This had sparked the discussion about the differences between American and European health care.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vimos un v\u00eddeo llamado \u00ab\u00bfPuede una app de bienestar f\u00edsico cambiar realmente la vida de una persona?\u00bb &#8211; creado por la empresa Virgin Pulse. Despu\u00e9s de verlo Olivia les pregunt\u00f3 la finalidad del v\u00eddeo &#8211; educativo, promocional o informativo. Estuvimos de acuerdo en que el v\u00eddeo era promocional. Esto es porque una compa\u00f1\u00eda americana ha instado a sus trabajadores a utilizar la app de cuidado de la salud para reducir la cantidad de dinero que la compa\u00f1\u00eda gasta en salud para sus empleados. Esto ha generado el debate sobre las diferencias entre los sisetemas de salud de America y de Europa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overall, I was very impressed with the level of English spoken and the overall amount of participation of the students during the lesson. Healthcare isn\u2019t normally\u00a0 an interesting topic but with the right questions and\u00a0 attention grabbing video the students were able to keep their focus. The lesson about different aspects of health had the kids thinking about their personal health habits and the pros and cons of health cares systems in Spain and in the the United States.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"yj6qo\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"adL\">En conjunto, Olivia se sinti\u00f3 muy impresionada con el nivel hablado de los alumnos y con la participaci\u00f3n en conjunto de de los alumnos durante la clase. El cuidado de la salud no es normalmente un tema que sea interesante pero con las preguntas adecuadas y con unos v\u00eddeos que llaman la atenci\u00f3n\u00a0 los estudiantes fueron capaces de mantenerse atentos.
