Some believe the lyrics describe a suicidal murderer haunted by demons or depict events just preceding an execution. The latter explanation points to <a title=\"Albert Camus\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Albert_Camus\">Albert Camus<\/a>&#8216;s novel <i><a title=\"The Stranger (Camus novel)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Stranger_(Camus_novel)\">The Stranger<\/a><\/i>, in which a young man confesses to an impulsive murder and has an epiphany before he is executed, as probable inspiration. When the band released a <i>Greatest Hits<\/i> cassette in Iran, a leaflet in <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Farsi language\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Farsi_language\">Persian<\/a> was included with translation and explanations (refers to a book published in Iran called <i>The March of the Black Queen<\/i> by Sarah Sefati and Farhad Arkani, which included the whole biography of the band and complete lyrics with Persian translation (2000)). In the explanation, Queen states that \u00abBohemian Rhapsody\u00bb is about a young man who has accidentally killed someone and, like <a title=\"Faust\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Faust\">Faust<\/a>, sold his soul to the devil. On the night before his execution, he calls for God saying, \u00ab<a title=\"Basmala\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Basmala\">Bismillah<\/a>\u00bb (\u00abIn the name of God\u00bb in Arabic), and with the help of angels, regains his soul from <a title=\"Shaitan\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shaitan\">Shaitan<\/a> (the devil in Islam).<\/strong><sup id=\"cite_ref-FOOTNOTEBBC2004a_45-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bohemian_Rhapsody#cite_note-FOOTNOTEBBC2004a-45\"><strong>[45]<\/strong><\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Tanto periodistas como acad\u00e9micos han especulado con el significado detr\u00e1s de la letra de la canci\u00f3n. Algunos creen que la letra describe a un asesino con ideas suicidas atormentado por demonios o describe los acontecimientos que est\u00e1n a punto de preceder a una ejecuci\u00f3n. La \u00faltima explicaci\u00f3n se\u00f1ala a la novela de Albert Camus \u00abEl extranjero\u00bb, en la cual un hombre joven admite un asesinato impulsivo y tiene una epifan\u00eda antes de ser ejecutado, como una inspiraci\u00f3n posible. Cuando la banda lanz\u00f3 la cinta con sus \u00abGrandes \u00c9xitos\u00bb en Ir\u00e1n, se incluy\u00f3 una hojita en persa con la traduci\u00f3n y las explicaciones (se refer\u00eda a un libro publicado en Ir\u00e1n llamado \u00abLa marcha de la reina negra\u00bb por parte de Sarah Sefati y de Farhad Arkani, que inclu\u00eda la biograf\u00eda completa de la banda y toda la letra con una traducci\u00f3n al persa (2000). En la explicaci\u00f3n, Queen afirma que \u00abBohemian Rhapsody\u00bb trata de un hombre joven que ha asesinado accidentalmente a alguien y que, al igual que Fausto, vendi\u00f3 su alma al diablo.
