It calls for the strengthening of partnerships and initiatives that accelerate progress to prevent and eliminate violence and bullying at school including cyberbullying.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Los Estados Miembros de la UNESCO han declarado el primer jueves de Noviembre de cada a\u00f1o, el \u201cD\u00eda Internacional contra la violencia y el acoso escolar, incluyendo el ciberaccoso\u201d, reconociendo as\u00ed que la violencia relacionada con el entorno escolar en todas sus formas es una vulneraci\u00f3n de los derechos de los ni\u00f1os y de los adolescentes a la educaci\u00f3n, a la salud y al bienestar. Insta a un fortalecimiento de alianzas e iniciativas que aceleren el proceso para prevenir y eliminar la violencia en la escuela incluyendo el ciberacoso.<\/p>\r\n<p><br \/><strong>All 193 UNESCO Member States approved the International Day against Violence and Bullying at School Including Cyberbullying at the 40th Session of the UNESCO General Conference in November, following its proposal at the 207th session of the UNESCO Executive Board in October, by France, Mexico and Morocco.<\/strong><br \/><br \/><\/p>\r\n<p>Todos los 193 Estados Miembros de la Uni\u00f3n aprobaron el D\u00eda Internacional contra la violencia y el acoso escolar, incluyendo el ciberacoso en la cuadrag\u00e9sima sesi\u00f3n de la Conferencia General de la Unesco en Noviembre, despu\u00e9s de haber sido propuesta esta jornada en la sesi\u00f3n 207 del Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo en Octubre por parte de M\u00e9xico y de Marruecos.<\/p>\r\n<p><br \/><strong>UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education, Stefania Giannini, said: \u201cThis International Day calls for a major step up in ambition to prevent and eliminate violence and bullying at school including cyberbullying. We know what works; from strong political leadership and collaboration between partners and the community, to better data, teacher training and positive school environments. It\u2019s time for these to be fully applied, so we can put an end to the devastating issue of school violence.\u201d <\/strong><br \/><br \/><\/p>\r\n<p>La Directora General Asistente para la Educaci\u00f3n, Stefania Giannini dijo: \u201cEsta jornada internacional insta a dar un paso al frente en el objetivo de prevenir y eliminar la violencia y el acoso en los centros educativos incluyendo el ciberacoso. Sabemos lo que funciona: desde un liderazgo pol\u00edtico fuerte y una colaboraci\u00f3n entre colaboradores y la comunidad, a un mejor estudio de los datos, pasando por una mejor formaci\u00f3n de los profesores y por entornos escolares positivos. Es el momento para que todas estas medidas se aplique por completo, de tal manera que se pueda poner fin a este asunto tan devastador como es la violencia escolar.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><br \/><strong>The proposal for the international day from France, Mexico and Morocco notes the need to genuinely address the root causes of violence and promote a culture of respect for students\u2019 rights and of zero tolerance to violence. It calls upon Member States, UN partners, other relevant international and regional organizations, as well as civil society, including non-governmental organizations, individuals and other stakeholders to help promote, celebrate and facilitate the international day.<\/strong><br \/><br \/><\/p>\r\n<p>La propuesta de este D\u00eda Internacional por parte de Francia, M\u00e9xico y Marruecos se\u00f1ala la necesidad de dirigirse de forma efectiva a las causas originales de la violencia y promover una cultura de respedo a los derechos de los alumnos de de tolerancia cero con la violencia.
